We had earlier reported that Kinetic Group will be bringing their previous partners, MV Agusta to India in July. However, we now have confirmation that the Italian motorcycle manufacturer will officially start their Indian operations from May 11, with the launch to take place in Pune. The sales and service will be taken care by Motoroyale.
The dealership for MV Agusta bikes will be under a different business unit but inside the Kinetic Group itself. However, it won’t be a part of Kinetic Engineering of the Kinetic Group.
MV Agusta, with more than 40 per cent global revenues in Europe and US, is hoping to make its mark in the ever growing South Asian market and India can provide them with the required base.
According to our sources, MV Agusta will initially commence operations in Pune, Mumbai, Surat Bangalore and Delhi.
But, the best part of the future deal could be slew of super bikes that will burn the roads of India. MV Agusta products like the Stradale 800, Brutale 1090, the F3 800, the F3 675, the Rivale 800 and the Turismo Veloce 800 could be coming soon in the country.
With native players such as Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Eicher and Mahindra already popular among the masses, it will be interesting to see how the new entrants make their mark in the industry.
