Jumping on the unlimited calling and free data bandwagon, BSNL has just announced that it will be offering unlimited voice calls and 300MB of data usage at only Rs 99 every 28 days.
While you do get unlimited voice calls, the offer is limited to BSNL-BSNL calls, but it does include STD calls within the network. However, this offer is limited to Kolktat TD, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Gujrat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
The Economic Times reports that BSNL is also offering unlimited 3G services for Rs 1,099 for 30 days.
The recent spate of discounts on telecom services is seen as a response to Reliance Jio’s free data and voice calling offerings that are threatening the user base of incumbent telcos.
Airtel, Vodafone and Idea have been offering drastically reduced tariffs as well.
In contrast, Reliance Jio’s tentative offer, post the free-use period, is a Rs 149 plan that’s valid for 28 days, offering unlimited calling, 300MB 4G data in the day and unlimited use at night.
